There is a BCP bank with ATM in Prospero St., a few meters from the “Plaza de Armas” (Main Square). Moneychangers can also be found along Prospero St. but some are more honest than others and caution is advised when dealing with them. 


Climate

Iquitos has abundant rainfall and hot temperatures all year round. Rainfall experiences two peak periods: November to January and March to May, with April typically being the wettest month of the year. The period from June to September typically yields relatively light precipitation.

Clima

Lluvioso y caluroso durante todo el año. Las lluvias alcanzan su pico entre los meses de Noviembre a Junio y Marzo a Mayo. Abril suele ser el mes más lluvioso del año. El periodo desde Junio a Septiembre suele ser poco lluvioso.

Climate

The climate is hot and humid at all times. The average annual temperature is 26 °C (79 °F) with the months of August and September being the hottest. The rainy season is from October to April.

A common phenomenon known locally as a "surazo" or "friaje" occurs when polar winds blow in from the southern mountainous. The temperature will drop to as low as 8 °C (46 °F) for several days.

El clima es siempre caluroso y húmedo. La temperatura media anual es de 26 °C, siendo los meses de Agosto y Septiembre los más calurosos. La temporada de lluvias es de Octubre a Agosto.

Un fenómeno local conocido como "surazo" o "friaje" ocurre cuando vientos polares soplan provenientes de las montañas del sur. Las temperaturs pueden caer hasta los 8 °C durante varios días.

Climate

Its climate is generally dry and temperate, with two defined seasons. The dry season lasts from April to October, with abundant sunshine and occasional nighttime freezes. July is the coolest month with an average of 10°C (49°F). The rainy season lasts from November to March, with night frost less common. November averages 13°C (56°F).
